Batch number range requirement

Hi,

I have 2 production order types ZPC1 and ZPC2. For this two order types when I make a goods receipt using MB31 I want a specific external number for batch ( PC123456 to PC999999). If i mention a number which is out of this it should throw error for those order types (zpc1 & zpc2 only)

For all other order types the number range for batch would be internal.

In SAP there is predefined no range 02 (external) AAAA to ZZZZ, I have also defined no range 03 (external) PC123456 to PC999999.

Now for this I am using enhancement SAPLVIZE. I am also using the 02 functional modules EXIT_SAPLV01Z_003 & EXIT_SAPLV01Z_004.

Now the following problem is being faced.

System is also accepting the batch no from no range 02 which is opposite to my requirement & hence should give an error instead of accepting. EXIT_SAPLV01Z_004 is not at all triggering.

Kindly guide me as to how can this be done.

Regards,

MHP

    Hi,

In SNRO transaction code assign the order types ZPC1 and ZPC2 to the number "03" ( PC123456 to PC999999) and tick the check box external and Design the number " 02" (AAAA to ZZZZ) against the order types ZPC1 and ZPC2 .

System will throw the error when you are trying to use any other number which is not between the ( PC123456 to PC999999) for the order types you mentioned.

    regards
