Creating a connection in SAP BO 4.1 SP 5 IDT to MYSQL database via SSH Tunneling

Dear Experts,

We have a requirement to create a connection from SAP Business 4.1 SP5 IDT tool to MYSQL databases which is under linux via SSH tunneling. At present in IDT while creating connection it does not ask additional parameters like SSH tunneling option, but we have such a requirement that we need connect to MYSQL databse via SSH tunneling only to create reports in webi through universe.

Fore more info our SAP BO server under Linux Plotform (SAP HEC) and MYSQL database in under Amazon cloud.

Can some one help us how we can achieve this. I understand that if we open the port in MYSQL db, we can directly connect but it is security violation and it is not allowed. The only way is using SSH tunneling.

You help in this regard will be truly appreciated.

    Hi Hari ,

afaik ,this can't be done . You'll need to connect to database itself .

    Thanks

Sateesh - Thanks for the info. If this is the case SAP should think and this option because other BI tools have this option.
