CMS Database Problems - WindowsAD Authentication

We have a new user setup in the WindowsAD group for Crystal. Every time I try to Update the AD authentication to bring in the new user it crashes our CMS service. BOJ support told me the problem is with the CMS Database (and that is true because when we created a new test DB in SQL Studio and pointed at the authentication, it worked). But short of reinitializing the entire database and re-creating our entire enterprise infrastrucutre, how do I troubleshoot this?

Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

PS: We are running BOJ Enterprise XI R2 (.NET) with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database.
