SAPServiceSID login failure

Hi experts,

We've production system in cluster environment its a active passive node.Node A is active with DB and SAP resource. If I move the SAP group to nodeB it fails due to SAPServiceSID log in failure. After reset the password of SAPServiceSID resource is moving to node B.

Again if I move the SAP resource from node B to Node A SAP resource is not moving and again showing log in failure of SAP service (SAPServiceSID) in event log. So again I need to reset the password of that.Everytime I need to reset the SAPServiceSID password from service if i need to move the resource. Also due to this issue we are unable to take offline backup.

Any one faced that issue earlier?

everytime when i reset the password it is the same password only which I've already feeded in that.

Also I'm getting below event log on the same. Our OS Vendor has already raised their hand and said it is nothing but SAP problem.

Hi,

Cluster is in domain or workgroup. If its domain can check for user properities in ADS.

In SAP system Node A, goto Start -->Run --> Services.msc

check for SAPSID_xx service --> Rclick Properities

click tab Logon --> here user ./SAPServiceSID should be maintained, change the password stop and start the service once.

Repeat in Node B as well.

Hope it helps

hi,

It is in domain only, We've already checked the password and reset the same, every time the same service starts running after resetting the password. If I restrert the server it is again we need to reset the password for SAPService<SID> else it will not run.

Hi,

It seems generic, replace the user id with <SID>adm for the services and check whether the same issue is getting repeated or not.
