CPI to SFTP server connectivity

Former Member

Hi,

We are trying to connect from our CPI tenant to the on-prem SFTP server for scenario of pulling files. We have opened firewall at our end to allow connections from SAP cloud platform tenant but the traffic is not reaching the SFTP server. Do we need to raise an OSS message for whitelisting the SFTP server address at the CPI side. None of the documentation seems to suggest this is required.

Regards,

Karthik

This issue is resolved. Turned out to be an issue on the NSG rules which the network team corrected.

Hi Praveen, yes I have. Error message is timeout - socket not established which suggests connection is blocked somewhere. As per our network team the traffic isnt even reaching our firewall. Below forum says OSS message needs to be raised for whitelisting on-prem SFTP server IPs but I cannot find that this step is required in any of the SAP documentation. Has it ever worked for anyone without raising a message with SAP.

Hi Karthik,

A quick query, are you able to connect to the SFTP server using any external tool. Filezilla or WinSCP so that you could be sure there is no problem accessing.

and what ip's have you whitelisted from your end.

Please confirm.

thanks and regards,

Hi Karthik,

Have you added the SFTP server key in CPI's knownHost file.

Hope it helps !
