Can we enable or disable specific alerts on a per-landscape basis

I have SIX different BO platforms that I either administer or support. There are differences between them which cause issue when I run BIPST. I would like to understand if it is possible now to enable/disable specific alert checks for specific landscapes, while allowing that alert to remain for others.

ex1: Three of my landscapes have STS SSO to a S4/HANA platform, whereas the other three do not. I don't want to entirely disable the SAP authentication scheme checks fully, but would like to disable the alerts for the non-S4 landscapes.

ex2: my S4/HANA landscapes are all single-server deployments, which include Lumira. They are sized appropriately for the environment specific usage. My Non-S4 landscapes have dedicated Lumira nodes in QA and PROD. I would like to keep some of the Lumira alerts on some landscapes but not others. For example, I would like to disable the memory limit check on Lumira for the Dev node, since the development system would not be using the tool, but would like to keep it on for QA/Test and PROD.

Hi Garrick,

Currently this is not possible in the UI but I will add a JIRA to our backlog to look into adding this capability.

However, as a workaround browse to <INSTALL_ROOT>\BISupport\bin\resources\Alerting and there you can make multiple copies of the alerts.xml and complexalerts.xml. These store the alerts definitions for user and complex alerts. You can maintain several copies and swap them out depending on which landscape you want to run the report for.

If you have any questions on the workaround, let me know.

Regards
Toby
