Difference in IP10 and IP03 date.

Former Member

Hi

Maintenance plan display screen IP03 and MP schedule screen IP10 are showing two different dates for the same next call of a plan. Previous call confirmation date is same in both TCs.

What would be the root cause for this.

Thanks for your reply in advace.

I'm actually just pasting the answer I received from SAP Support to the same question:

IP03 and IP10 has different logic. IP10 is based on live data, IP03 is historical (table MHIO and MHIS) and is based on when the call was last scheduled and saved. IP10 is a scheduling transaction, IP03 is a display transaction data must be saved in IP10 to update the call in IP03.

Hi,

Transaction code IP10 is single maintenance plan schedule in system and  date are showing as per your time based or performance based cycle frequency but IP03 is display of maintenance plan which have mentioned to start of cycle date and key date only.

Hi,

Response to reply from Peter Atkin: This seems to be a general issue as I have noticed quite a few times now that the dates differ in both IP03 and IP10. Our Maintenance Plans are always scheduled on first of every month using IP30. End-User have access to only tcode IP03. I came to know of this issue when end-user informed me that the next Planned Date in IP03 is not correct. For instance if last Order was TECO on 1-Jan-2013 and the frequency is 8 months then next Planned / Called Date should be 1-Sept-2013. In IP03 it does not show that but in IP10 (for which i only have access) shows the correct date.

Response to reply from Akhilesh: What exactly you mean by Cycle Date and Key Date?

Hi,

Cycle date is your last preventive maintenance date and key date have taken current date of system.

Can you post two screen-shots showing the issue.

I'd be very surprised if its an authorisation issue, but run /NSU53 after both transactions to be absolutely sure.

Hi,

The Dates will differ depends upon the Shift Factor Late/Early Completion. If you not complete the task with in the mentioned date. So you will be entering the finish date it may be +/- according to that the system will re-schudule the dates.

I sincerely accept that but unfortunately its not getting updated in IP02 or IP24. Do you have any reasons for this? Thanks.

I find the above discussion very useful. I updated IP10 by pressing the Update Scheduling button and then saved the plan.

I then check the same in IP03 and it shows the same dates. So it works!!!!!!!!!!

Now my query is: As our end user only have access to IP03 and not IP10, they will always see the incorrect Planned / Called dates. Is there a way around?

Just a background: These calls are generated through IP30 and are scheduled on monthly basis.

Thanks

Faisal

SAP MM

Is this a general issue, or only applies to this single plan?

I sometimes see strange things in plans, and I cannot determine the cause. And sometimes the only way to correct this is to delete that plan and create a new one.

HI

whne you see in IP10 system show which are going to schedule and if you delay order completionthen also date changes(if any shift factors maintained)

in IP03 you see alrady scheduled dates only

Hi

If the job is completed in advance than the scheduled date, new call date is updating only in IP10 and not in IP03. Is this is the way system behaves or there any way to get it correct automatically.

Thanks..

Please help me on this issue. Now i found that the subseqent start date is different in IP03, IP10 and IP24 as well. Please not that the dates are different only in the case that when the completion date is different than plan date. Practically it is always. Your immediate response will help me a lot. Thanks in advance.

Hi When i update the schedule it gets updated in IP03 or through IP30 system updates in IP03. But we do not want to do deadline monitoring every day. Is there any other way for IP03 to get update against confirmation. This is problem exist when the completion date does not equal to plan date. Thanks.

hi

IP30 is generally used for scheduling no of Maintenance plan .which will generate the call object and automatically reschedule the maintenance plan .

Nothing to worry

SAP MM,

Just a small point here; IP30 is usually set up as a background job to run periodically.

hi

once you enter the already scheduled plan ,then system will reschedule the plan and derive new dates based on the current reading, whereas in maintenance plan display it will display the previous scheduled one

whether your plan is time based or performance based .specify the details which will be useful for tracking
