Disconnect icon on Maintenance order Header data view

Hi Folks

I have recently assigned notification types to order types to deactivate the disconnect icon appearing next to my notification button.

However, we have several orders that are not linked to notifications - and we seem to have a problem when trying to change these orders via IW32 or IW38. The error message states 'Outstanding notifications exist'

Please let me know if there is any way arround this?

I coudn't open the message bacause of the menu that was on the screen prompting me to create a notification even though it was not required.

Does it mean that if you assign a notification type to an order - Is it mandatory that you must create a notification and then convert it to a work order? That is you cannot create a work order directly without a notification.

hi

if you have specified the notification type in the IMG settings and marked the notification field ,system will automatically create notification in the back ground.

but the problem is every order will be accompanied with notification .i think you haven't specified the notification type

in this case - every other doesn't need to be accompanied by a notification.

some orders are created directly without notification - even though the order type is assigned to a notification type in IMG.

if you mark the notification in IMG its not possible to create order without notification ,for that you can deactivate the same .

after deactivating when you create the notification for that order,then only you can able to see the Disconnect button .i think if you do not want to show the disconnect button ,then in standard its not possible.Other way is to create screen variants using SHD0 .Kindly try

I've just experienced the same issue.

In this case, someone had accidentally deleted the notifications from the database in a playground/test system (programatically).

Could this have happened in your system?

Sorry it wasn't the same in our system - the problem here was a customisation isssue. We did not assign notification types to order types hence, the disconnect icon appears on our work orders.

When i go to transaction IW32 and enter the order number - it pops up a dialogue box prompting me to creat a notification even though its not required.
