Hi there,
Got a weird issue today with our Business Objects environment (BO XI R1). This does not happen for everyone but does seem to effect a bunch of people.
When a user opens up a recent successful report instance in InfoView they can click print, choose the printer and then click on Print but then the page just seems to hang. You can see the mouse icon working away with the hour glass and pointer so you can still use it. It will stay like that indefinitely until they click on the next page icon at which point the report prints successfully.
This seems to be an issue with reports that have 2 or more pages, one page reports print just fine.
Has anyone else had this particular issue and if so how did you solve it? We are all using the same viewer (ActiveX). I've rebooted the server (we have all BO services on the one box) but no luck. Recycled IIS Application Pool etc but still nothing.
I'm still not sure if this is a client side issue or something screwing up with Business Objects. Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Chris Rutherford
Hi Chris,
Which reports are you using.
If you are using Crystal Reports please check them through the designer.
Do you have any hyperlink in the report?

Hi there,
Thanks for the reply. Turns out that our IS department has deployed a patch called RS Client Print-ActiveX Crtl R02 which has caused this problem. Not sure why it broke it yet or how to fix it so still investigating.
This only happens for reports viewed within InfoView if they are in Crystal Reports format. There are no hyper links in the report, it only affects reports with 2 or more pages.
If we get a resolution I'll post it here or if anyone has any clues to why then please post.
Cheers,
Chris
