Hi Everyone,
we are changing our printer configuration from L (Print locally using LP/LPR) to U (Print using Berkeley Protocol) because our company was sell and we are moving out of the previous company network.
We are unable to re-configure the printers to pass the spool to the Windows Printer Server we have.
This is the configuration we using but the system don't like it.
the only answer I receive back is
Unable to reach the remote host spool system
the only way to receive a print out is using the IP of the printer in the destination Host, but in this way we bypass the printer server and this is not the solution we want..
any suggestion?
Dear Matteo,
Please review the best practices described in the following KBA:
2233302 - Network Problems Printing to Remote Print Server
Hopefully you could find some hints that matches to your configuration requirements.

Hello Matteo,
As it is described in SAP Note 64628 - Use of network printers from R/3It is not recommended to directly print/address to a network printer.
For this reason please use SAPSPrint as SAP Note 894444 - Tool for server-based printing on Microsoft Windows (SAPSprint) describes.(See SAP Note 927074 - Patches for SAPSprint -> SAPSPrint latest patch)
To analyze thoroughly the issue please see KBA 2233302 - Network Problems Printing to Remote Print Server
Best Regards,
Daniel
