What is POS?

How it is related to ABAP?

Hi,

POS is separate component (application software). That application use in retail store for billing purpose. There is no any relation to ABAP

HI Venki

POS is Point of Sale - a non SAP application software widely used in all Retail Stores for Billing & Tendering purposes . It can be categoried in to Simple POS , sophisticated POS based on the functionalities Applicable in that software.

All the transactional datas in store POS system ( Sales receipt , Payments )will be sent to SAP system for further Planning & updation in SAP ,which is called Day End report - INBOUND

Similarly all Master datas like Article, Prices, Barcodes, Merchandise categories will be sent to POS System from SAP -OUTBOUND

POS has no relation with ABAP , however Datas from POS as an Idoc in Database server will be sent to Application Server by ABAP Report..
