Connection Object enhancement in CRM

Hi Experts,

I want to enhance connection object in CRM. For that i have followed the below steps.

Step 1: Created Attribute, set type and assigned to category.

Ste 2: Identified the BADI: IBSSI_SEND_TO_UPL and Include CI_CON.

But not able to understand how to connect all these. Could you please let me know which steps needs to be followed to achieve the connection object enhancement in CRM. During initial load all customized field data needs to be downloaded to CRM and vice-versa.
