Hi all, in Sap Business ByDesign, how is it possible to set the warehouse where to pick the materials in an outbound process scenario? For example, in a Stock Transfer Order I want indicate the warehouse where pick the materials in order to get a picking list with the 'Source Logistics Area' from the same warehouse.

Hi Giancarmelo,

Did you ever find a solution for your requirements? We have exactly the same issue where the the materials for the STO should be picked from another location.

Hi Jimmy,

we have developed a SDK solution. No way with standard configuration.

If you are interested, give your vote to the idea https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/212529/?section=sectionDetails

Hi Ginacarmelo, have you managed to force creation of different warehouse requests, each assigned to a different warehouse, from one delivery proposal?

Thanks

Dear Giancarmelo,

In order to determine a Source Logistics Area in Outbound process scenario.

Under Supply Chain Design Master Data Work Center navigate to Locations View and Click on Edit and setup a Material Flow rules.

In this case we are referring to Pick , Hence we need to define Logistics Area or Location id with Picking Strategy in Sourcing Tab.

Note we also can setup Material Flow rules at 2 levels 1)Site Level 2)Location level

then the rules apply to all processes that are triggered for this site or any subordinate logistics areas, as long as they do not have another material flow rule defined.

Strategies for Source

  • Fixed Bin - The strategy considers all bins where the requested material is specified as allowed products. Allowed products are maintained in the Location Layout editor under the Restrictions tab of a selected logistics area ID. The editor is accessed from the Locations view in the Supply Chain Design Master Data work center.

  • First in First Out - The strategy considers all bins that contain the requested material and aims to select the oldest available stock in order to fulfill the requested quantity. Oldest stock is sorted according to the identified stock expiration date, identified stock production date, and last putaway date.

  • Minimum Movements - The strategy considers all bins that contain the requested material. It aims to minimize the number of logistics areas, identified stock, and logistics units, which are used to fulfill the requested quantity and as a result, minimize the movements that need to be done by the worker, in order to pick all of the required stock.

Kindly also refer to "Logistics Source and Destination Services" in Help Center for More Information to set up Material Flow rules.

I hope this should resolve your query.

Sandeep

Dear Sandeep,

The business scenario is different because the request is to define every time the warehouse where create the warehouse request.

For example: If I have 4 warehouse and in each warehouse I have same materials and stock, how can I indicate that for Stock Transfer Orde no.1 I'll pick the materials from the warehouse A, for the STO no.2 I'll pick the materials from the warehouse B etc...
