Data Sources turning to inactive

Hi Gurus,

I have a serious problem and need quick help.

I'm working in BI7.0. There is only one system for development and production for now. I have tables(ZBW_T_...) with transactional datas in BI and data sources(ZBW_...) which are created by these tables. These data sources are linked to cubes. Datas are loaded to these tables by excels. These structure had been working until this week.

But a problem has appeared. On last Friday morning, data sources were inactive. When I tried to activate data sources, I got an error message "Inconsistent user object ZBW_T_...(datasource name) BBDCLNT100 for PSA /BIC/B0000333" (Message no. RSAODS251). I replicated metadata, but still can not activate data source and got same error message. The only way was to delete datasources and then replicate and then create transformations&DTPs. On Monday morning, datasources were inactive again with same error message and same solution. On Tuesday morning again, I faced the same problem.

I have tried to do many things to fix this problem but nothing.

Please help me.

Hi Muju,

You should check the table RSTSODS and find the entry where the field ODSNAME_TECH = /BIC/B0000333. Make sure that the source system specified in the USEROBJ field is correct.

If not, you will have to run BDLS to correct the entry.

Hi,

Did you checked if the underlying table is getting locked or changed when updating it in source system through flat file??

Try to see the log for the table....

may be because of that the data source is getting changed and it leads to the inactive status.
