Hi All,

We are having a Production System Landscape(3 system) on Cluster environment.

On the System Landscape DB and Central Instances are Clustered and application is running on Prd + App1+ App2 servers for load balancing.

If i want to reset any of the Paging parameter like rdisp/PG_MXFS, should i change the param in all the 3 Instance profile on all the servers or not?.I will be doing it thru RZ10.RZ10 in extended maintenance shows 3 Instance Profiles for 3 servers.

Pl. help and assist.

Thnx and Regards,

Jigar Oza.

Hi,

you do not have to do it on ALL instances. Instance parameters can be set differently for each instance (i.e. you can have different hardware). If you want parameter to influence all instances - put it in DEFAULT.PFL (once).

Hello,

Yes as said above .

Can also do it in one shot in RZ11 where you have a option

Same on all servers which can be selected .

Dynamic changes (when allowed) in RZ11 are "temporal" and will return back to the value in the profile when the system is restarted.

So if the this is a permanent change this is not recommended
