Please help me, How to create the Master Inspection Characteristics in QM in Procurement.

Dear Bahubali,

MIC's are created using transaction QS21, these are not specific to any application like procurement, production etc. It is the QM master data. This is the plant level data it can be linked with class charectristic also.

after creating MIC's u have to create inspection plan in QP01, with usage 05 and status 04 and in item data assign this created MIC's. Before to this prerequistion is in material master quality view enable inspection type 01. when do Migo/MIRo to the material, it copies the inspection plan and creates inspection lot. hai,

the MIC ''s can be used any where in QM as per your requirement.

using qs21 you can create MIC- give plant and the name of mic- select Quanit type and control limts,

if you want to have the Mics of qualtivative type you need createthem through qs51(selected sets) and in qs41 assign the code groups.then call here that code
