Hello all,
When installing Netweaver 04s (7.0) EP (no ABAP stack), we got the following error:
ERROR: can't change to central Executable-Dir /usr/sap/TS2/SYS/exe/ctrun (No such file or directory)
Saw an old thread with the following titile:
*dp lib version mismatch-After kernel upgrade *
*Posted: Oct 20, 2008 12:47 PM *
but it was reported with an upgrade.
Does such errors happen during installations too? If so, can the approach in the thread be used to solve the problem?
TIA
Hi again,
I stopped and started the instance. Then began the sapinst once more. Afterwards, all was OK.
TIA

Hi,
This seems that the Parameters to be set up before installation is not done or it is incorrect.
Please check the parameters you setup before the installation
Also check the Kernel version files exe and run directory and check whether they match

Hi and thanks for the info...
I have done several installations and have never come across an error like this one.
The only difference in this case is that I specified to install the J2EE stack only and not the ABAP stack. Would this be the problem?
I saw a /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run directory but not a
/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/ctrun
directory
If so, then is there something one can do to specify the installation of the ABAP stack?
TIA
