Webi Report with Deminsion

When I put a single dimension on a report and a count all over that dimension, I get a number that is much less the actual number of values in the database.

Its almost like its only displaying a Distinct list as when I put a distinct on the SQL query, the results from there almost match the results in the webi report.

Is there something I need to change so that the report will show all the dimension values and not narrow the list on its own?

count([dimension];all)

That is the count that I put over the field, but it does not match the count from the database.

can you please share the screenshot?

So the query from the Database is returning 2751 rows.

The count on the report (=Count([Name (Last, First)];All)) is returning 2477.

I have verified in my Query Properties that "Retrieve duplicate rows" is checked, but its like the report to combining like names. For example, the Name "Smith, John" appears once in my report, but I know it should show at least 4 times as I have 4 different people with the name "Smith, John."

try with number of rows function in webi.

=NumberOfRows([Your DP name])

That returned the proper count, but can you tell me why I am still not seeing the name "Smith, John" 4 times?

Might be you need to add input context to get the same count in the table.

First drag all objects in the webi table same as SQL and see if you are getting the same records or not.

If everything is correct then use Foreach in the formula and add the objects which are not dragged in the actual table.

=Count([Name (Last, First)];All) foreach ([Object1];[Object2])

Hey Amit,

I didnt not follow what you are saying.

I just have a report with a list of names, but its combining like names, which I would not like for it to do. I didnt know if there is a way to prevent that?

Have you dragged all available objects in webi table?

The only available object to put on the report is the name field.

ok.Right click on the table->Format table->tick the check box "Avoid duplicate row aggregation" and see
