Inspection Characteristics not getting assigned to the Inspection lot

Hi ALL,

I am facing a peculiar problem. I have created three new MIC & assigned them to a inspection plan.

But when I am doing the production run for the FG ,I am not able to see these three new MIC's for result recording purpose.

Its peculiar because On creatin an inspection lot Manually I can see these MIC while doing the result Recording.

Please advice why they are not appearing while doing the Production run.

Might be Vivek you have used different Key Date or Change number at the time of MIC assignment to Plan then original IP. Please check & confirm.

Hi,

If you have added new MIC after creation of Inspection lot, system won't consider the new insp plan since alredy onld insp plan is got assigned to inspection lot. If you have not entered any results for this lot, cancel sample calculation in QAC3, and reassign inspection plan in QA02 with current date as effective date, confirm the physical samples in QPR4 then do the results recording...

please check it and revert.

Hi Vivek,

You have mixed up two queries here.

If you are not getting the lot itself then check the activation status for inspection type 04, as correctly suggested by Gajesh.

Now if lot is getting generated and you have some issue regarding MIC then, check.....

- Usage of inspection plan Vs Inspection lot, they must match.

- The changes you have incorporated (Addition of new MICs) in Inspection plan must be done on the Valid from date prior to the inspection lot creation date. If not, then attache those same MIC in the inspection plan with back valid from date then the inspection lot creation date.

- Check the status of the plan.

Hi Vivek,

As in the previous posted message; the logic is that the Inspection Plan (or Task List) along with the MIC gets assigned to the Inspection Lot at the point the Inspection Lot is released. If at that time, Inspection Plan does not have new MIC assigned to it; while Result Recording these MIC will not appear.

While doing it manually after creation of Inspection Plan ( with MIC ); at the time of Inspection Lot Release, these characteristics exist; it gets assigned to Lot. Hence you can see them.

I would believe this is the reason.

You need to creat a fresh Inspection Lot (for Production) and check again. This time it should exist.

Hello Vivek,

Seems interesting.

1) Hope you are using 04 inspection and for manual lot you are using the same inspection type 04.

( Please confim).

2) If the lot is already created and then you have update the inspection plan , the new mics will not appear.

3) try to create a new order for the materail and then do Gr and check with this lot for the Mics
