Activate Change Documents in Classification System

I tried to active change documents for classifications with the report RCCLUKA2 as suggested here: https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/PLM/How+to+Activate+Change+Documents+in+Classification+System

But the flag MULTOBJ ("Multiple Objects") wasn't set by the report as described. I tried to reset the changes via the report RMCLINOB but it says that for the class type "MULTOBJ" isn't set which is right.

How can I set the flag "MULTOBJ" for a specific class type to enable the writing of change documents for classifications?

The note introduced an error message with a long text where you can read:

Check whether there is any concurrent access to the tables TCLA, TCLAO, or TCLAX, or whether the tables TCLAO or TCLAX already contain entries for the specified class type.

Concurrent access means for example you are staying in customizing while you execute the report in another session. TCLAO and TCLAX should not have an entry if this report was not successful.

But I didn't get the error message you mentioned. The report itself finished with no error at all when I ran it first time. After that I just got a message that the entries for class type ZGK are already in the table INOB. And after that I tried to delete this entries via report RMCLINOB.

Anyway there are entries in TCLAO and TCLAX related to this class type ZGK too.

What do you mean with "After that I just got a message"

In which transaction did you get this message if it was not issued from the report?

I tried to run the report RCCLUKA2 three times - first time I ran it without an error, the 2nd and 3rd times I got the error "Entries already exist in the INOB; check data" (CL881). But I never got the error message with the long text "Check whether there is any concurrent access to the tables TCLA, TCLAO, or TCLAX, or whether the tables TCLAO or TCLAX already contain entries for the specified class type.".

The message is: CL 592 Class type & could not be changed

this text is what you can find in the long text to above message number, kindly check it in SE91, it was also explained in the OSS note:

Check whether there is any concurrent access to the tables TCLA, TCLAO, or TCLAX, or whether the tables TCLAO or TCLAX already contain entries for the specified class type.

I think nobody will be able to tell now what the situation was with the first run. And the story is also not really sufficient to know the full current situation. You either need to really describe the current situation in a big detail with screenshots or you may need to contact SAP for help with this inconsistent situation

Ok, many thanks for trying to help me!

I think I'll use BADI_MATERIAL_CHECK to store the changes temporary by myself, because we don't know very much about the report RCCLUKA2.

You should more often update your system, in 2012 SAP released a program fix for this case: 1797996 - RCCLUKA2 - "Multiple objs allowed" is not set

with this fix came an error message which explains in its details what you have to check

Hi Jürgen, the related SAP Note is already installed.
