I installed SAP GUI for windows 7.50 PL 2 and I noticed that list and tree display views for all of the systems is gone and only explorer mode is left. Is there something that I can do to bring them back - I really liked list mode far better than explorer mode. If this seems like a duplicate, it's because I asked this earlier today and this site crashed and appeared to not have sent this out.
I finally found out the right answer - there are registry keys to disable any and all types of views. Where I found the documentation on this is as follows:
URL is https : // wiki.scn.sap.com / wiki / display / NWTech / SAP + GUI + Logon + Configuration - you have to remove the spaces, for some reason SCN does not like the "SAP + GUI + Logon + Configuration" part and thus I had to do it this way - sorry. If anyone knows how to do this link properly with the link editor, please let me know how and I will fix this.
The section is near the bottom and is entitled "Disabling SAP Logon Views via Registry"
So I modified the entries that someone had added and I got my tree and list views back.

regedit-keys-for-view-fix.jpg Just to give everyone an update - this happened also on 750 PL 5 and on 750 PL 9 Hot Fix 1 as well which is the current version I have running. Each time I installed the new patch level, it undid the registry key fix and I had to re-do it all over again. It also appears that for 750 PL 9 Hot Fix 1 that the number of registry keys were cut back by 1 - it appears that someone changed the code so that explorer mode is the default and you can't disable it but you can then add back the other two modes via the registry keys. I purposely attached a limited view of my registry to show this and it's the last two entries that I modified from zero to one.

Hello Bruce,
Does the behavior only happen on your PC or on others as well
Best regards,
Marc

Everyone in my company is affected by this - sorry for the delayed response - I don't know why I'm not getting emails for when people answer my questions - not your fault
