Data Archiving Error

Dear Gurus

I am doing Data Archiving and getting the below error. Can anybody let me know about the same?

Jobs of type SUB cannot be released

Message no. BA308

Diagnosis

Job management could not release any data archiving jobs of type SUB (WRI= write job, DEL= delete job... ; see domain ADMI_JOB_T).

If the error occurs, even though you do not want to release the job (the import parameter DONT_RELEASE is marked), there is another error in job creation.

The job name used is ARV_SD_VBAK_SUB20090102192716.

The job ID is 19271601.

Information on the cause of the error may be contained in the return code (in brackets) and the last message: ( 8 ) BT 662.

Regards

Procedure

Analyze the cause (for example, using the job log and the authorization profile for the user who scheduled the job) and delete the specified job from job management if this has not happened automatically. The Archive Devleopment Kit (ADK) deletes job definitions automatically if the function module ARCHIVE_SCHEDULE_JOB was processed with DELETE_FAILED_JOB = 'X'.)

    Dear Sharabh,

Jelena is correct that this is not an SD issue. The error message is a Basis error message. You could open a thread in that area but perhaps the following information may be helpful -

Please check in SARA -> Customizing -> Cross-Archiving Object

Customizing: Technical Settings -> in field 'Server Group Name' if

there have an entry. If so please check if this server group is exist,

please check in transaction SM61 if there is this server group

    maintained.

You can either remove this server group in field 'Server Group Name'

or create an appropriate server group in transaction SM61. Afterwards

this error should not appear anymore.

Please check this with your Basis people as it may be the solution here.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Ian Kehoe

Check with your Basis admin - it's not an SD question.
