Mismatch in FI Document and PA document posted

Hello All,

I am getting different amounts piosted in FI & the relevent PA document. there is goods return transaction for one customer.

Amount is posted in Co code currency in FI & when I am going to the PA document through KE24 transaction code I am getting different amount but in same company code currency. All the other inputs are same is quantity rate etc.

can any one came across this situation?

Can any one tell me why this is happening only in case on this credit memo.

Hi Prasanth

In your case the Sales Returns GL account is not assigned to the PA Transfer Structure.

Here you need to assign the sales return Gl Account [Cost Element} to the source structure which is done in the configuration settings done for Profitability Analysis.

In profitability Analysis under flow of actual values followed by direct postings from FI/MM under which you need to maintain the PA Transfer Structure.

Document is getting posted but Its posting with less amount. Its in same currency in which sales order Fi document posted

Are you using costing-based, or accounting based PA?

What is the value field/ account that is not updated?

Have this problem occurred with this value field/ GL account/ document type combination b4?

Use transaction KEAT to investigate.

Hello Piet Strydom,

We are using Costing based PA. Here in this case one credit momo for sales( Sales return) is posted in Fi with amount 10012 CHF But in PA its posted to 9704 CHF Original sales order is in CHF only. for PA document its giving same reference/source ie. the sales order no. I m not getting why this is happening as there is no transaction in any foreign currency. There is difference of 307 CHF in the amount which is posted in FI & in PA.
