Create a link for different employee numbers PERNR

Hey,

We have 02 employee groups, Permanent and Contractual. For Permanent Employees, number range start from 1XXXXX and for Contractual employees, number range start from 2XXXXX. Whenever a contractual employee completes a tenure, it is hired as permanent employee. In this scenario, leaving action is executed against the contractual employee number and hiring action is executed as permanent employee number. Can we create a link through standards that all details of Contractual be linked as Permanent. There is an Infotype 0032, but it do not meet my requirements.

If you were to use IT0032, you could link the 2 PERNR when hiring the permanent employee.

If IT0032 does not meet your requirements, you could create a Custom Infotype that would.

IT0032 should be the able to meet your requirements, have you checked if the configuration for concurrent employment has been done. It might be that IT0032 isn't working for you correctly because the system isn't set up correctly.

Have you looked at a country reassignment action?

Not quite your scenario but when you do a country reassignment action you will end up with an old and a new PERNR which will be linked thru a common 'CP' (Central Person) object.

I have never tried it but I imagine this functionality would also work even if the new hire is in the same country as the original.
