Hi all, can I use a SAP SLT server to replicate a database to a remote backup site?
You can use SLT to replicate selected tables to target database / system, but it should not be used for Disaster Recovery purpose.
There are possibilities to migrate system during a short period - you could even use a simple database backup restore and log shipping.

Hi
I whould say you can replicate a set of tables as the purpose for SLT. But not a complete database, that's out of SLT scope.

Hi Jesus,

Hi Andrey,
Basically I would like to replicate a database from a site on-premise to a cloud environment (HEC in this case). We're planning a migration but the downtime that the business allows is only 14 hours, so we were looking a the options and wondered if we could use an SLT to replicate an entire database from the on-premise site to the HEC site.
Regards,
Jesus R.
