i am not able to assign number ranges for controlling area 2000.

HI all,

i am not able to assign number ranges to my controlling area in tcode: KANK.

i am getting the below error message when i select group and maintain from menu.

error message :

No elements exist for the object/sub-object 2000

Message no. NR004

plz help me if anybody have faced this problem before.

i dont know wts going wrong why i am not able to maintaian group for controlling area to assign number ranges.

    Check SAP Note 4958

    1. Run Transaction OKC1 to check which business transactions must exist. OKC1 shows these in a list.

    2. Check Table TKA04 using Transaction SE16 (general table display). Specify the controlling area. Compare the result here with the result from step 1. If not all business transactions from step 1

    exist for the controlling area, you must generate the missing entries.

    3. Call up Report RKTKA04C using Transaction SE38. Read the documentation. The report creates the entries that are misiing.

    With this you can assign number ranges. It happened to me in one project

    Hi

    In Maintain Controlling Area -

    >OKKP , after you create Controlling Area ,

    Did you Activate Components/Control Indicators by giving Fiscal Year , Cost Center : Active , select Activity type CheckBox, Order management : Active, select profit center CheckBox.

    Did you assign company code. please check with these.

    In Maintain Number Ranges for Controlling Documents -

    >KANK

    give Controlling Area and select Maintain Groups button.

    from the menu select group -

    >insert.

    give text and number range and save.

    Now you will see the elements.

    Hi,

    Please check the activity status of the concerned. Check whether you have assigned the respective company code and activated the controlling area.

    Do get get back i case of further queries.

    Hi sandhy mam,

    I am also got same error. I hope you successfully over come this problem.

    can you please help me to come out of this problem. can you please explain elaborately.

    I am SAP FICO learner. I search all the threads to overcome this problem. But i didn't got solution.
