HI...

FOR I WANT TO KNOW THAT HOW MAINT. WORK IS CARRIED OUT FOR MOVING OBJECT LIKE FORK TRUCK. WHERE THERE IS NO FIXED LOCATION FOR THIS TYPE OF THE OBJECT AND NOT INSTALLED AT ANY PARTICULAR LOCATION .

THEN HOW WE CAN MAP THIS SCENARIO IN SAP-PM?

you need to create as new equipment in IE31. and not to assign this to any location.

for IMG goto

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service --> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service --> Settings for Fleet Management

Creating a Fleet Object as Equipment

Logistics --> Plant Maintenance -->Management of Technical Objects --> Equipment --> Create (Special) --> Fleet Object.

In future, please do not use CAPITALS - its against the forum rules...

You can either install these objects (equipment) against a dummy function location, or the plant function location (if exists), or no function location at all.

These objects (equipment) can then be used in orders/notification if required.

You can manage the equipment master for the fork lift as it is moving object do not install it on any functional location & other processes are as per standard one.

1. Preventive maintenance

2. Breakdown maintenance

3. Planned Maintenance

Please specify your requirement for particular process.

hi

you can create the object as fleet object ,in the maintenance plant alone, don't try to install any functional location .all the cost involved will be captured in the equipment itself.

Also can you post the exact requirement for the above query
