FILE PROCESSING DELAYED BY 4 HRS

Hi All,

I am new to this site,

i need your suggestions,

sap po (7.4)

i am facing one issue, sender is File (NFS) Receiver is File (NFS), polling interval (12hrs)

sender Communication component " AL1 "

after pick the file will be save in archived (4:00pm) (unable to find message log also)

daily text format files are processed at 1:00pm or 1:00am, on one day file jump to process at 5:00pm,next two days repeated same thing, till i stop and start the channel, why it is processed like that no one able to find , we are approaching to every one basis & functional team, they also telling same thing don't know.

can you please tell somebody what is the issue on this.

Please give your suggestions, its urgent,

Hi Uday,

Message log would be very important in this case.

You can check there why delay occurred.

Hi Tom,

There is no message log for this , file is deleted after processing, period is only for one day for message log,

I am thinking like this ,There is possibility of channel being restarted for various reason which might trigger the polling. It is better to control the job which is feeding SAP PO rather than SAP PO doing at a particular time.

I have been recommended .: the SAP PO channel polling for every 5 min and also add a wait logic to check on changes to file being written. This should resolve most of the issues related to this problem going forward.

how can i proceed for above task, could you please tell clearly how to do ?

Perhaps you are referring to "Msecs to Wait Before Modification Check" feature.
