Agent determination issue for workflow with BDC

Hi,

i have a sync. task in my workflow which is having BDC for ME31K t code. unfortunately this work item is hanging in ready state even though i can see correct agent assigned with it.

can anybody please help me on this.

Hi Sudhanshu,

Do you want that BDC logic to run in background? If yes, then seems like you have created your task as dialog task instead of background one.

If you want to run it in foreground, then it will show in READY status till the time agent assigned does not execute it from SAP Inbox.

issue looked to me about agent id conflict. i assigned valid agent but program was executing the task with the id of 'Approver'. if both Ids are same then BDC was running fine but not if IDs are different. For now, i have changed it as 'Background' task so it is working fine.

Hanging may be down with different reasons. Please check the workflow log and also ST22 for dump.

No, there is no dump and SWIA says 'no agent available'.
