Forecast Errors

Hi Experts

When i generate forecast all the Errors are also generated in the following way..

MAD 562,33.10

MAPE 10002,22.0

ET:5667,22.12

MSE 3100,229.999

RMSE 13.23

Here i am unable to find out the wat is commas and decimal in the error values.

Wat is Comma and Decimal point in the above errors.

2)When i manually check the Error total as per the formula in the SAP HELP the results are not matching.

Please give your valuable suggestion on the Forecasting errors.

regards

Sai

    Hi Sai,

The way comma or decimal is used is based on your user setting. In your user profile ( through SU01 defaults tab) or in any sap window, go to System>User profile> own data> defaults tab

check the value in decimal notation.

If this value is 1,234.567,98, the decimal is used to seperate the numbers and comma is used to seperate the integral and decimal part of the number.

    2) results don't match....make sure you use everything same as the sap help. Also as the name says "error" is always a approximate number. Unless there is a huge difference, let's say you see 10 now and 1000 next time the error within some range is always common.
