Hi,
We have an application (written in Openedge) that makes use of the Crystal Reports 11 .NET libraries to show a report and provide the user with an option to print (to a dot matrix printer).
The problem is that the formatting of the print is not correct (it's fine in CR9) with some lines being "wobbly" and others being cut short.
The printer driver we are using is the Windows Generic/Text one. Again everything works in CR but not CR11.
This does not seem to be a problem related to the OS but I suspect that it may be the way CR11 sends data to the printer.
I've done some research prior to creating this ticket and found some references to the printer needing to be unicode and needing updated drivers?
Many thanks,
Mark.
CR 11 has been out of support for 10+ years, you can try 11.5 and see if that works for you:
http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/crystalreports/crxir2_sp4_full_bld_0-20008684.exe
http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/crystalreports/CRYSTALREPORTS06_0-20008684.EXE
You will need a 11.5 keycode so contact Custom Interaction Center to get one.
If you upgrade to Visual Studio 2010->2017 you can use the latest runtime from here:

Good luck
Don
PS - we don't actually support DotMatrix Printers... They just don't have the resolution laser printers have.
