problem: DTR workspace is not modifiable

Hi all,

I'm not able to edit projects anymore in NWDS.

When the popup appears for checkout it says that :

Checkout is not possible. See below for details.

The operation requires the writeability of the following Objects:

View com.xxxx.sap.xxx.xx.comp.bupa.view.BuPaFavorites

======>problem: DTR workspace is not modifiable

I'm quite sure I have the right authorizations on the NWDI as I've already been able to edit and deploy before ...

Timeframe when this occurs is after upgrade of Development configuration pool server, don't know if this has some effects on the issue ...

Hi Abjuh,

Just check that the project that you have synced is not from Acitve DCs tab in DTR perspective.

The projects from Acitve DCs are not modifiable.

> Src folder of ur DC and right click and make readonly property disable then you can able to modify the project....

Thx namrata d , your answer solved the problem.

I indeed created projects from active DC's by accident , that was the reason I couldn't edit my source files anymore !

Hi,

Check if the user with which u have imported the configuration is assigned with

the JDI developer and JDI admin roles in the portal.

Goto the Navigator -- right click on the file you are trying to modify and uncheck the ReadOnly check box and try again...
