Dear Srikkanth,

Transportation lead time

The time needed to organize the transportation of goods.

Example

To transport goods by ship, the freight space must be booked. The time between the booking of the freight space (transportation planning date) and the loading of the goods onto the ship (loading date) is the transportation lead time. The transportation lead time is dependent on the route.

Transit time

The time needed to transport goods to a customer.

The transit time depends on the route.

I hope this will help you,

Regards,

Murali.
