NWBC - Embedded TM on S/4 HANA 1709

Hi, I'm wondering if NWBC is still required for Embedded TM on HANA 1709. Most UIs may be shifted to Fiori, but do I need NWBC for the configuration also?

In the latest release, Fiori UIs may cover most requirements for end users, but NWBC are required for key users who are in charge of configuration or system administration. Is this understanding correct?

It is really appreciated if any suggestions.

Hi,

All transportation activities (as done in NWBC) can also be done through apps through Fiori launchpad as in the attachment. These apps for TM in Fiori launchpad are actually web dynpro apps.

NWBC is also present in embedded S/4HANA 1709, however it is better to work with web dynpro apps launched through Fiori launchpad for same look & feel with other processes.

With regards,

Mrinal

SAP Business Client for Desktop with the Fiori launchpad connection (SAP Fiori launchpad integrated into SAP Business Client) can open SAP GUI apps in native SAP GUI for Windows => full SAP GUI functionality.

Without SAP BC and SAP GUI the apps open in Web GUI.

The client preference depends on the user profile:

Heavy SAP GUI usage = SAP BC with the Fiori launchpad connenction

"lightweight"-usage (e.g. order entry) = browser-version

The UI still based on a NWBC. Your understanding is correct.

Now there are a launchpad in FIORI but the documents and interactions still with NWBC.
