Dear Guru's

Hi,
If you are not Tracking or recording of data such as time amount of work is required then there is no need of using service master, you can go ahead with DIEN.
As per the standard DIEN was designed for Sales usage only , but you can use DIEN for Purcahse also to avoid External services management.
For asset procurement you can make use of PO with asset(Acct assignment Asset)

Hi Channabasappa,
1.for serviece you can use material type Services (DIEN) ( Services can be performed internally or procured externally (outsourced). They cannot be stored or transported).
where you want to have the track of the perticular activity of cunsuption. like.
· Construction work
· Janitorial/cleaning services
· Legal services ... etc.,
or else you can maintaing service master, then need not to create seperate materila type.
2. For asset.... not required to maintain materila type sepetatly. you can add Asset code which FI people will create that can be added in PO itself.
Regards
Anand
