BOM not explosing in purchase order

Hello Guru,

We have some issue, our material 15330 finished product has a BOM of 10002100, but when doing a purchase order with

this finished product it did not explode in the line item of the purchase order. as we check this 15330 its BOM

usage was 7 (Empties-Returnable materials) and it was still in status 01.

why is this material not exploding BOM? where could we check where this problem could be solve?

In Subcontracting, item category L enables Components ( BOM items) below level of the Fisnished componenet i.e at item detail level of individual line item.Don't confuse Item level and item detail level.

and don't expect the bom items at Item level.

Hi Ryan,

The lead time you might have given in Inforecord / Material master caused the problem.

Change the delivery date and check it will work

Hi,

This error will happen due to the problem in delivery date in PO.

Change the delivery date after the system gives the error message"not possible to determine components". Now try to explode the BOM in Materia data tab.

If still the components are not determined,create a PR for the same material where that problem wont arise.

then create PO w.r.t. PR,so all the components data will be adopted and you can save the PO w/out the error message being displayed.

where doing ME21N, but we expect when we put the finished product 15330 as item 10, below its BOM will also be automatically explode as item 20? but it is not happening.
