production compaign for discrete production

I want to use production compaign for discrete production order i am getting the error "Order type PP01 not intended for process orders" please through your some light on this .

You cannot use production campaign discrete production orders. If you want to use production campaign functionality go for pp-pi with order type PI01

Production campaign is generally used for process industry. Please use process order PI01 for production campaign.

Dear Thamizh,

Production compaign is used only in process order scenario to combine the production of same material in a single production run to avoid set up times, change over etc.
