Feeding Cube from Live Cache

Hi Experts ,

I am from BI and in our project we are using BI as the datawarehouse for reporting and APO for planning and forecasting. We are now into the development phase of our project .As i am new to it i require information about :

1> The general information about how can i transfer data from BI standalone system InfoCube to APO BI infocube ?

2> After the planning we have two cubes . One is the remote cube and another one is the BackupCube. The contents of the backup cube will be feeded as the input to the BI cube for reporting . Which will be the good practice ? Feeding these two cubes(Back up cube & Remote cube) directly from the Livecache or first feeding the remote cube from the livecache and then feeding the Backup cube from the Remote cube .

3> How the data after forecasting, can be feeded into the Backup cubes and the Remote Cubes ?? i think the process is different than BI .

Hi

Yes,it is different from BI.

Process in SCM to take backup from livecahe to infocube:

Tcode:/n/sapapo/msdp_admin,>choose your Planning Area >double click on it>Extra tab choose Data extraction toos>give your planning area name and data source name>(if data source is not ready to create choose generate data source)choose data backup tab>choose generare infocube from planning area>give required infocube name,discreption and required plannin area and execute>choose Yes in popup window>continue,

check your infocube whethere the data is transfered or not
