Check for term action before IT416

Hi Guys,

I have a requirement where the client wants me to implement a user exit on IT416 to check if a term action exists before IT416 can be saved. The problem is that IT416 should be saved in the active period, hence before the term action. So I am not sure how to achieve this.

Has anyone done something similar to this?

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Active period means at which stage of Personal actions

there will be two status ACTIVE and INACTIVE

ACTIVE an employee will be active at all the times except in termination

so if iam not wrong include that infotype in any of the actions where employee is active in table V_T588D

and can be some wht clear of ur query

    hi mark.

in general if the employee is inactive the system will not allow certain Infotypes to be maintained. that depends on the configuration of TERM action, whether the infotypes are delimited or not raises.

besides, i can suggest, whilest IT0416 is maintained you can try with a dynamic action.

    you can follow as below

while IT0416 is maintained and once saved it should pop up IT0041 ( Where you will maintain the dates i.e. date of joining, date of seperation etc)

you can go for a user exit where you will specify a coding such a way, if the user tries to maintain the IT0416 it should refer the action or Date specifications infotype and if any such thing (termination) exists it should not allow to save.

      Thanks for your reply Madhu.

My concern is that the infotype 416 should be saved before the Term action. Isn't that correct?

If yes, then how can I check if the action exists while saving 416 as the action would happen after the 416 is saved. May be I am missing something here!
