Editing the Industry Sector via MM02

Dear SAP Guru,

Advance Happy Holidays!

I would like to verify if there is a way of modifying or editing the data that we have entered in the Initial Screen of Create Material. As far as I know this field is no longer editable once you have saved the material you've created. The scenario is that, the person creating the material accidentatly selected a wrong Industry Sector and wanted to change his inputs but the aterial is already saved. Is there a way to modify the values?

Hi Jasmin,

You can not change inducstry sector once material is created as it is related to the views maintained in material master. And different views in material master are selected as per the inducstry sector maintained at the time of material creation.

To change industry sector of this material you need to copy this material to new material with desired industry sector. Material code will be different for this new material.
