Question about Licence

Hi Just a quick one, we bought and installed bap business one 2007 about eight months ago and find it great. We found a partner but did not find them usefull at all and ended up doing all the work ourselves.

I am wondering can we get rid of the partner and just pay sap direct. When you buy sap business one does the licence last a lifetime or do you have to pay a yearly fee to sap.

We now have the program the way we want it without any help from the partner. Any questions we had we found the answerd here on the forums ourselves.

Thanks all for your time.

    Hi Brendan

The Annual Maintenance or AMC for [SAP Business One|http://www.brio.co.in] is 17% of license cost in India may differ in other countires. This includes upgrades. If you do not pay your AMC you will not be entitiled for updates and support. But you can continue using the current verision even you dont pay AMC. SAP does not directly deal with the customer. Contact SAP and change your support partner.

To answer your question, you must have a partner to get B1 license. You need to pay SAP support for your license every year. SAP will not directly get involved in it. Otherwise, it may not be fair to other partners. If you don't satisfy with your current partner, hopefully you can ask SAP local office to change to a new one.

    Thanks,

    Gordon
