Currency Translation: Temporal method which parameters to take

Hi

Does anybody know how to create the currency translation method 'temporal method' (Temporal Principle of Translation). I know the settings for the modified spot rate method. (Kursart = 1 = Stichtagkurs) (Umrechnungsart = 1 = Umrechnung der Hauswährungsbeträge nach Jahreseinheitskursen)

Thanks!

To enable the temporal method, the method layout must be changed to select this option.

Method layouts are changed via the technical view in the BCS workbench.

      Dan,

What do I need to change in the method layout to set up the temporal method? Which exchange rate indicator and which translation key for for example 'assets' (=not monetary items) do I need to use?

      Exchange rate indicator:

      * Reference value = group value

      1 Current exchange rate

      2 Average exch rate

      3 Historical exchange rate

4 Current exch. rate prior year

      Translation key:

0 Translation resulting in group currency value of zero

1 Trans. of cumulative local values at rate for current period

2 Historical translation by year of acquisition

3 Historical translation using changes in investments

4 Historical translation using changes in investee equity

5 Translation of each period at applicable rate for the period

6 No retranslation of existing group currency value

7 Translation with user-defined exchange rate determination

9 Translation of transaction currency values (like 1)

A Translation of transaction currency values (like 5)

      Regards
