Calculate Number of cells in Bex

Dear experts,

I would like to understand how the number of cells is calculated by BW when executing a bex query. number of rows x number of columns ? (in the same way as excel)

I am asking the questions since I have been allowed to execute a query with more than 2 millions of cells (number of rows times number of columns) while the limit set in the BW is 2 million (in BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_MAX)

Could you please help with this ?

Thanks in advance,

Amine

    Hi

    Similar to excel.

It count number of rows based on result set only.

    to over come this,

Set more aggregated characteristc in Rows column and reduce number of characteristics as well.

    Regards,

    Jay.

    Hi,

It is the same with EXCEL, rows x column = CELLS.

Did you save your BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_MAX? Can you post here the result of your query which is more than 2M?

    Regards,

    Loed
