regarding make to order scenario sales order does not allow make to order

HI !!!

Gurus !!

I am working on make order scenario .

I am creating material and bom using 20(make to order) strategy.

When I go for creting md50.sales order against planning of material.

Some error shown to me that are:-

Sales order does not allow make to order production.

Kindly give me some reference to solve this problem.

Hi,

First check what is your strategy group in MRP3 VIew:it should be 20

Then Sales Item Catergory should be 0002

Then you ned to run the plan the hope its clear

With Strategy 20, you can create sales order with Type "KE"

only then 20 strategy will be operative.

check and revert back

Kindly check ind/coll requirement in material master is selected as '1'.

Check whether the Saleas Order requirements type is KE?

(in Sales Order Procurement tab page).

If not maintain that it will work for you.

Dear,

Check whether sale order is created as std order OR ( order type ) and in material master item cat is maintained NORM

Please check

1. Assign Planning Strategy 20 to the Materail Master MRP3 view to Strategy Group Field.

2. Define your SD side derivation of Requirement type under Transfer of Requirements section. Item Category/MRP type Combination.

3. Check also the Item Category derivation through Sales Document Type.
