Same material in diff material type

Can we maintain the same material in two different mat types, In my client case same material they want to maintain in two mat types.

Ex : If the purchase qty of steel is 20 tonnes, they will treat it as Capital &

if it is 1 tonne or few kgs, they will treat it as consumables.

If we cant maintain, then what i need to do ? pls help me out

    Hi,

    You can not create the same material with 2 different material type.

    But what the user want to achieve by creating the same code with 2 different material types plz explain.

    If still they want to use then u can suffix / preffix the nomenclature like Steel_Con & Steel_Cap.

    Hi,

    As per my view, It is not possible to maintain same material type in two different material type.

    You can extend material in more than one plant but in this case you have to create new material code.
