Hi AYK,

Incomplete copy model:

If MIC is created with Incomplete copy model, the specifications of MIC can be changed with respect to the material at task list level.

Assume a MIC, created with required specification, called Length for a particular Material. It can be used for all materials but with different specifications .i.e. you can change the specification including short text at task list level. This reduces lot of master data creation.

Complete copy model:

If MIC is created with Complete copy model, the complete master data settings will be copied to the task list. I.e. you cannot change the specification at task list level.

Hope clears to you

HI venkat

Plz if i am wrong

both complete and incomple copy model MIC's - you can change the lower and upper spec limits when MIC's are assigned to task list means either inspection plan/reciepe/routing

complete copy mic will be used for mat.specification but you can't use incomplete

Guru's - apart from this any other advantage in business wise- plz give some inputs

Thanks

hi

following are the definitions which are self explanaroty

Complete copy model

If you use the master inspection characteristic in a task list or material specification, the reference to this characteristic is canceled. You can therefore immediately change the data (for example, tolerances). You can then only use this master inspection characteristic as a copy model.

Incomplete copy model

If you use the master inspection characteristic in a task list, this can only be used as a copy model. This type of master inspection characteristic cannot be used in a material specification.

please revert back if any further clarification required.

thanks
