hi folks,

could anyone please tell me the meaning of non stock items,what is its functionality?

Definition:

Nonstock materials (NLAG)

Nonstock materials are not held in stock because they are consumed immediately.

Ex : Milk for canteen in industry.Neither stock is held & cost is directly assigned to canteen cost center

it is understood that the stock is not held in inventory because of immediate consumption but why cant the cost is assigned

u know the price of milk and the quantity u procured and u easily find out the cost of consumption
