Dear GJ,

You are using MD61, which is creating manual demand of a material in order to create stock of the material.

You may run MD01.

I suggest you go thro SAP Library and see for PP- Demand mgmt.- Planning strategies.

If your demand qty is less than your STPO then system shall generate seperate proposal.

This is a highly flexible scenario.

You can set the parameters for considerations in MRP as to which demands should be considered in MRP.

Dear GJ,

Yes it is possible.

Please note that MD01 is not for an individual demand of a material or order.

It is run at plant or MRP area level.

For Demand order if it is a sale order you run MD50

FOr material you run MD02.

Now if you have a material produced and sold from one plant and same material is sold by another plant where both plants belong to same company then second plant will generate a STPO on first plant i.e. mfg plant.

So I think if your demand is a sale order go for MD50 - sale order MRP or MD02 --

I suggest you run MD02, check MRP results and then choose accrdingly.

Dear GJ,

Thanx for the reply.

Mass MRP is run in three modes - normally net change planning is considered in which all the materials that have undergone some change in demand or supply and stock - gain or consumption are considered.

If your demand is via planning you generate a Planned Independent Requirement PIR.

STPO is a stock transfer order typicaaly from a plant to a plant.

And I was refering to a Sale Order which comes from a customer.

If your STPO is getting generated from a plant you can exclde the plant from planning scope. If not then it can be difficult if for same material you receive a sale order and stpo both.

OR you can use single level MRP for selective materials.

Hope this is sufficient.

Narendra.

Hi GJ,

If Demand Order is a sale order you are refering to then MD01 will not be useful as planning scope is for a plant or MRP area.

If it is PIR then you need not use any user exit.

If you wish to run sale order MRP o a mass scale please confirm.

Dear,

You need to go for enhancement M61X0001 with function al modules EXIT_SAPLM61C_001 and EXIT_SAPMM61X_001 and you can define parameters like MRP controller, MRP Type,Material group etc. It will work for you.
