How can I terminate the sales order item?

Dear all,

I have created and released a sales order, which had two items. like following

Item Material no qty delivery date

10 Material-A 1000 pcs 12-25-2008

20 Material-B 300 pcs 12-28-2008

This sales order has been released. And their production order has been released and producted too. Item 10 has been producted and deliveried 300 pcs to customer. Now the customer asked to terminate the item 10. They didn't want the 700 pcs left.

So we have to cancel the sales order item 10 and the relevant production. But we couldn't terminate this item.

How can I do? Please tell me how to do step by step.

Thank you very much!

Paul.

    Dear Paul

Go to VA02, input the sale order reference and execute. There block the line item 10 and in the middle of the scrren, you can see various tabs in which, you can also see "Reason for Rejection". Click that and assign some value and save. Now go to MD04 and refresh it.

    thanks

      Hi dear friend,

It's that all? Do I have to change the sales item status or anthing else?

In my previous experience. We change the sales item status to one special status, for example, let's say exception terminated. And give the reason of termination. Then, this sales item is terminated, and we cann't delivery for it.

I've tried it. You're right! Although I can produce for this sales order item. But it can not be deliveried any longer.

Thank you very much, my dear friends!

      Best wishes

      Paul

    Hi,

Why don't you put Reason of rejection for Item No 10 in your sales order now ? It will release the stock for other sales orders..
