Hi All,

I am using CR XI and RAS for displaying a reoprt via an application.

In that i need to display a text box horizontally.

It is perfectly displayed in PDF Viewer but automatically it is changing to vertical text box while displaying in CR Viewer.

Can anyone help me to solve it.

Thanks in advance,

Not displaying text vertically is an HTML limitation. A workaround is exporting the report to PDF, and display the PDF stream in your browser.

Hi

Below is the content of SAP note

1215907 - Vertical text object appears horizontally in web application Overall Rating 1 Votes

Symptom

In Crystal Reports XI, a report uses vertical text (text rotated 90 degrees). This is displayed correctly in Crystal Reports Designer.

However, when viewing the report in a web application such as InfoView, the text appears horizontally.

Cause

This behavior is due to the limitations of DHTML when displaying vertical text.

Resolution

To work around the behavior, do either one of the following:

Export the report to another format (for example, PDF). Then view the file in the web browser.

-OR-

Change the viewer option for Crystal Reports in InfoView to the Java viewer. This eliminates the limitations with the HTML viewer.

To change the viewer

Log on to InfoView.

Click the Preferences icon in the upper-right corner.

If the icon does not exist, verify the account has proper permission to modify the preferences in InfoView.

Click the Crystal Report tab.

Click the Java viewer option in the View my reports using the ... section.

Click Apply > OK.

Hope this will help you!

Hi Saravana,

To search for any SAP note(knowledge base article)

Go to http://www.service.sap.com

Go to the SAP note search link under SAP support portal heading. SAP note search page will open. (S-user ID required)

Put in the required details for search and specify the search criterion.

A list will be populated with search reasults

Click on any link to open the content of the note.

In this case put 1215907 (the number only ) in the search item box. And you will get the sap note

Hope this helps
